[Image taken 28.11.20] Toast racks at the former Moor Lane Park and Ride, Tadcaster Road, York. In use at the popup mass flu vaccination centre during the covid-19 pandemic 2020. Toast rack designs of cycle parking usually have an upstand. (See #162533, #165414, #165415.) This means every user has to lift their cycle in/out every time. If you can't, you are unable to use this design. Some linking bars are set at a distance that means at least one of the wheels is on it and rolls forwards or backwards making it unstable and difficult to manoeuvre and to park - even if there is no human or other load onboard. Flat links like with this design get rid of that problem. Individual Sheffield designs are best though. No linking bars and you can vary the width between the uprights/supports.
